Let’s talk about Reproductive Freedom and the Bible. On behalf of Yahweh, the prophet Isaiah pronounced judgment “Woe” upon those who call evil good and good evil (Isa 5:20). Calling evil good is happening everywhere in the US and the world, and judgment is here and coming.

“Reproductive Freedom” is the current political platform of the Democratic Party. When you hear someone say today’s Democratic Party is not the party of your grandfather, that is an understatement. Vote for reproductive freedom is the mantra. Stand up on behalf of all women and vote for reproductive freedom. Well, who wouldn’t be for the freedom to reproduce? We need more babies, not less. But this is not a platform that will lead to more babies. The name is an intentional, out-of-the-pit-of-hell, misnomer. This is the freedom to kill without consequences.

In VP Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech, she promised to sign into (federal) law a bill that would restore reproductive freedom for all fifty states. However, this is not a law that would increase the number of babies born. This law would not give America more children. To reproduce is to increase in number, not diminish. If a farmer is having a reproduction problem with their cows, the issue is calves aren’t being born—NOT the reverse. The misnomer, reproductive freedom, is intentionally deceptive. What should you call an agenda that will increase the number of abortions? What should you call a platform that would normalize the destruction of life in the womb? Maybe we could call it an abortion rights agenda. The stated goal of the Democratic Party is to ensure every pregnant person in all fifty states has the right to abort a baby up to the time of birth. Read the bill for yourself—look for H. R. 3755. In Germany, a baby may be aborted up to 12 weeks; in France, 14 weeks. But what about the U.S.? This varies state by state, but the goal of the Democratic party is to end any difference between states and enact nationwide freedom to end the life of the child up until the moment of birth with no “weeks” restriction.

Well, that’s the issue. You don’t even hear anyone talking about any restrictions. The “viability” conversation has been silenced. The current debate has eliminated any discussion about the life of the fetus. Does the unborn child have a right to life? At the heart of the debate is what is inside the mother’s womb. A child? A fetus? An embryo?

How will you vote this November? Will you vote? Are you registered? Do you care? Does it matter to you that a culture of death is being promoted by one political party?

Our God is the God of life. He is the Creator of life. We are to be fruitful and multiply. Read Jeremiah 29:6, Yahweh says to Israel, “Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease.”

Who are you voting for?
