AWANA
AWANA Volunteer
Approved Workers Are Not Ashamed! AWANA is our biggest ministry that is open to the community. Many parents, who aren’t part of our church, bring their children to this weekly activity. Volunteers are always needed to disciple these children from K3 through 6th grade and help them store the Word of God in their heart. Be part of the fun! Be part of the team! (Some of the below studies will be recorded so that AWANA volunteers can watch them at a later time)

2026 Spring Micro Groups
Goal:
- To help the Berean family grow and multiply as disciples of Jesus, we will start disciple-making groups this fall that we are calling “Micro Groups.” Please signup to receive more information. Signing up does not mean you are committed, just that you want more information. Pastor Mike is the POC, mike.boarts@bbcfnc.org, 910.988.0128.
Description:
- WHY? – The Great Commission from Jesus commands each of us to be a disciple that makes disciples (Mat 28:19-20)
- WHERE? – Most groups will meet on campus, but there is flexibility to meet off campus or online if that works best for your micro group.
- WHEN? – 19 weeks, starting the week of January 7. Meeting times will depend on the availability of the leaders. Potential options could be Sundays at 5pm or Wednesdays at 6:30pm while other ministries are meeting on campus, or other options could be early morning, over lunch, in the evening, basically any time a micro group can meet up. Join anytime!
- WHAT? – A micro group is a handful of men or ladies that will meet once a week to grow as disciples so they can then help others grow as disciples. They will grow relationally, study the Bible, and help each other grow in Christlikeness.
- WHO? – Any men or ladies that want to commit to a 19-week, relational group based on Scripture, that will help each other mature as disciples with the goal of discipling others in the future.
- WHOM? – Each group will have one man or one lady, depending on the gender of the group, that will lead/facilitate, and then a handful of other men or ladies that want to be disciples.
- HOW? – If you are interested in being part of a 2026 Spring Micro Group, please contact Pastor Mike Boarts at 910-988-0128.
